TRADE AND MARKET I NG New HZPC structure generates growth It is the view of CEO Gerard Backxs (57) that specific management attention and real focus are crucial factors for a continued enhancement of potato breeding and seed potatoes sales worldwide. Already ten years ago, the trading company opted for a sector-oriented approach with regard to the sale of seed potatoes, whereby, as a team, every sector sets its sales and potato breeding targets independently. To continue to streamline the organisation, the Frisian company changed to a new organisation structure this year by forming a holding with various business units. ‘In this way, we’ll be able to continue to pay particular attention to the well-known HZPC activities as well as to the projects that have a fair chance of success. This will enable us to continue to grow and perhaps double our current gross profit margin to 100 million euros in 2030.
