Sales to South America were up 8.9% in the month, but they fell by 0.4% to Asia and by 1.1% to Africa. The biggest percentage growth in the month was to the USA (77.7% up in the month and by 60.0% in the annual period). There has also been strong growth in sales to the Caribbean over the year. Australasia is the highest prices regional market at €808/tonne in August. Africa is the lowest priced market at €686/tonne in August. SAudi Arabia leads sales SAudi Arabia remains the EU’s largest single country market on an annual basis, but more product was shipped to Brazil in August at 15,315 tonnes, 6.6% higher than in August 2016.
