Initial infections mainly occur as a result of spraying errors, and technical defects, such as blocked nozzles, are very often the cause of that. In fact, Lemken was not the only one at the show with this type of inspection technology. Teejet and Inuma also presented nozzles with a similar electronic control function. Cleaning system for spray booms receives award Manufacturers of sprayers do everything possible to make this so-called contaminating technology as clean as possible. Cleaning technology that cleans the interior effectively is available everywhere, but the time has now come to consider the exterior, says Amazone. That is why they have come up with a fully-automatic system for boom cleaning. This clean invention was awarded the Agritechnica innovation prize The Boomwash, as the cleaning unit is called, cleans the spray boom from below. This cleaning operation lasts two minutes and uses 100 litres of water. For the time being, the Boomwash is still only available on this self-prOpelled Pantera sprayer, according to Amazone.
