PW-ACTUA Manter introduces new model weigher MD14 XL MD14 XL is delivered with maintenance free vibrating lanes. Manter International BV, the manufacturer of weighing and packaging equipment for the fruit and vegetable industry is currently renewing their complete range of weighers. A completely new model suitable for weighing large portions in one drop is the MD14 XL. One of the most important considerations when developing the new XL weigher was for it to be the same width as the machine it replaced. Through smart design the MD14 XL has 2 weighing buckets extra compared to the former model, the Manter 12000XL, and is the same width. The MD14 XL has 2 rows of 7 weighing buckets opposite of each other. After the weighing process the portion is deposited on to a discharge belt in the middle. A packing machine can easily be placed to the side or even underneath the weigher. Thereby reducing the footprint of the whole line. 25 kilogram in one drop The MD14 XL still has still the wide weighing buckets, like the 12000XL, which are suitable for weighing large portions of a wide range of products such as potatoes and onions but also swedes and other large sized products. The width prevents the product from blocking into the weighing bucket. Due to the size of the weighing bucket the weigher can deliver 25kg in one drop. The MD14 XL can be fitted with a range of different discharge systems allowing the capacity to reach up to 20 portions/minute of 25kg. Weighing up to 20 portions per minute of 25 kg. Dirty product As standard the Manter MD14 XL is delivered with maintenance free vibrating lanes to feed the weigh heads. As an option the weigher can be delivered with feeding belts instead. These feeding belts are advantageous when handling product contaminated with with soil and clay. The MD14 XL comes in the new Manter house colours and equiped with the latest mechanical features and software. The machine is operated via a completely new userfriendly 15” touchscreen. ● New: Handbook for potatobreeders Aardappelwereld (PotatoWorld) Ltd. will publish the handbook for potato breeders before long in collaboration with Louis Bolk Institute/Bioimpuls and others.
